The Joint Commission Presents 2014 Enterprise Champion for Quality Award

For the second consecutive year, The Joint Commission has presented BrightStar Care® with the Enterprise Champion for Quality award. The award recognizes BrightStar Care for its efforts to promote the delivery of high-quality home healthcare to its franchisees through Joint Commission accreditation.

BrightStar Care is a national private duty home care franchisor with more than 260 locations that provide skilled and non-medical home care and staffing services to individuals, families, and healthcare facilities. BrightStar Care provides around the clock services in the home, including live-in or hourly care, companionship, dementia care, medication set-ups and reminders, skilled nursing care, and much more.

The Enterprise Champion for Quality award carries unique requirements relevant to franchisors, including:
• The franchisor is legally organized and registered and maintains an organization of franchises that are eligible for accreditation by The Joint Commission.
• At the time of application, the franchisor has a minimum of 10 franchises accredited in good standing by The Joint Commission.
• The franchisor demonstrates that 95 percent of all eligible franchises are accredited and in good standing with The Joint Commission.
