Inspire Releases Experts by Experience 2015
Inspire has published “Experts by Experience 2015: A compilation of patients’ stories,” a special report developed in cooperation with Stanford Medicine.
The report compiles a year’s worth of monthly columns written by patients and caregivers for Stanford Medicine’s Scope medical blog. This is the third annual edition of “Experts.”
In the collection’s foreword, psychologist Benjamin F. Miller writes, “Our stories are our power. In order to bring about change in healthcare to create the patient-centered system we all want, not the system we have, there must be a collective; there must be a gathering of patients together, with data, to make a case that change is needed and change is inevitable.”
Several of the columns come from staffers and activists with such Inspire partner organizations as Fight Colorectal Cancer, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and Us TOO International.
Inspire is a privately-held company based in Princeton, New Jersey, partnering with organizations to provide online patient communities in a safe, privacy-protected environment.
