TeamSTEPPS Web-based Training Opportunities Available

Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS®) is an evidence-based set of teamwork tools, aimed at optimizing patient outcomes by improving communication and teamwork skills among healthcare professionals. AHRQ’s TeamSTEPPS training curriculum is available online as an accredited continuing education program, allowing healthcare providers to become certified as TeamSTEPPS Master Trainers through a web-based course.    

Enrollment will be open four times in 2014 – 2015, with the first class beginning on November 19, 2014, and subsequent classes available throughout 2015. Potential participants are encouraged to complete the TeamSTEPPS readiness assessment. The class is offered at no cost to participants, but those wishing to complete the master trainer class must assemble a change team at their facility, submit a draft change plan, and upload a letter of commitment prior to receiving an enrollment code.
